Roy Keane was left bemused by a section of senior Chelsea players prior to their FA Cup clash with Birmingham on Tuesday night, after they started flicking the ears of Romelu Lukaku during the warm-up.
The culprits included senior members of the Stamford Bridge squad including captain John Terry and Frank Lampard.
The behaviour was taken in jest by Lukaku but the former Sunderland manager was less than amused.
“It’s so childish, it’s crazy,” Keane said during ITV’s coverage of Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over the Blues.
“All that carry on is ridiculous, they’ve just let their manager down. They should be focused on trying to win a game of football."
Keane criticised the players for their actions just days after Andre Villas-Boas was sacked as Blues manager with a strained relationship with the players thought to be key to the Portuguese's demise at Stamford Bridge.
“All that carry on just reflects what mood must be in the camp," Keane continued.
“They’re carrying on like that in the warm-up, flicking each other’s ears. They’ve let their manager down badly.
“It’s an absolute disgrace, they should be professional, focused on the games and not behaving like that."
