The trainer of the Turkish giants is certain his side will claim a victory at the Veltins Arena on Tuesday, while striker Yilmaz hopes to go a long way in the Champions League
Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim is confident his team will eliminate Schalke ahead of their second-leg last-16 Champions League tie on Tuesday. In the first leg, the Gelsenkirchen outfit held the Bosporus side to a 1-1 draw at the Turk Telekom Arena, and despite their slight advantage, the Turkish boss is certain his men will go through.
"Since the first game, the 1-1 draw in Istanbul, Schalke have improved considerably and become a much better team," the 59-year-old told reporters at the pre-match press conference.
"We know we are up against a strong opponent but I am confident we will win tomorrow. I trust my team. Sneijder will play tomorrow."
Striker Burak Yilmaz echoed his trainer's sentiments, and says he is relishing the prospect of staying in the European competition until the end.
"We are proud to be here. Both myself and my team-mates believe we can go a long way in this competition.
"We are a club who have written history in Europe and I hope we can do ourselves proud tomorrow and win."
Schalke kick off with Galatasaray on February 12, 20.45CET at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen.
