France boss Laurent Blanc has warned his players to tweet with caution during Euro 2012.

Blanc stressed to his charges that they have to be vigilant of what they write on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, because they may be at the hands of the watchful media who will 'spin' their words to form a story.

"You have a duty of confidentiality. There is a danger on Twitter, Facebook or blogs. You have to have extreme vigilance in these times of living together," Blanc told Le Journal du Dimanche.

"There can be a spin put on [your words], comments that the media will seize immediately."

France international Hatem Ben Arfa revealed that Blanc has told the team not to post anything on their activities away from the pitch, which may lead to damaging news reports.

"He [Blanc] asked us not to divulge anything of group life, but also to stay natural," Ben Arfa said.

France will kick off their Euro 2012 campaign against England on June 11.
