France coach Laurent Blanc has taken the time to praise Franck Ribery in the wake of Les Bleus' 2-0 friendly win over Serbia.

The Bayern Munich winger enjoyed a fine season at club level, and seems to have taken his superb form to the national team after impressing against Iceland on Sunday and again on Thursday, much to the satisfaction of Blanc.

"This is great for Franck. He is a player who can make the difference," he stated at a press conference.

"You sometimes have to be patient with a player who has so much potential. Is he in form too soon? It's better to be ready too soon than too late."

The 46-year-old then went on to discuss the performance of Samir Nasri, and stressed that the Manchester City midfielder is on the right track, despite criticism from the local press.

"You are a bit harsh on him. It's true that he can do better. You all know that he has the potential to do very well, though, and I think he's moving in the right direction."

France start Euro 2012 with the Group D match against England on June 11.
