Malaga midfielder Jeremy Toulalan has hinted that he would like to return to the France squad in the future.
The former Olympique Lyonnais midfielder has been in international exile since World Cup 2010 after falling out the coach Raymond Domenech and, as a result, the French FA.
However, Toulalan appears to have put his poor experiences with the Bleus set-up behind him, though he insists that he does not mind being overlooked in favour of young talent coming through the ranks.
He told Atlantiquefootballclub.com: "I have not posed the question of whether I'll return. I left Lyon to forget the episode and it allowed me to live this good experience in Spain.
"I am where I am today. And I'm just looking to play well for my club. You think you might [get called up], but there are now new players in the group who have arrived on the scene and are very good.
"I just wish all the happiness in the world to the France team."
France were beaten 1-0 on Tuesday night in an enthralling game against Spain, which saw them drop to second in their World Cup qualification group.
