thumbnail Hello,

Defensive injury trouble has plagued the Irish camp all week meaning that Paul McShane starts at right back while James McClean displaces Aiden McGeady

Giovanni Trapattoni has named his starting XI for the pre-Euro 2012 friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday at Dublin's Aviva Stadium.

James McClean has been drafted into the line-up, replacing the established Aiden McGeady on the left wing.

Paul McShane starts in defensive as niggling knocks strike deep. Kevin Foley and Stephen Kelly are already in the squad but neither will start, meaning McShane, on Ireland's standby list, gets the nod.

Elsewhere, Keiren Westwood comes in for Shay Given in goal due to the 36-year-old's knee trouble.

Darron Gibson starts in midfield beside Glenn Whelan, who has shaken off the effects of a sore throat.

Kevin Doyle gets the nod up front in place of Shane Long, Simon Cox and Jonathan Walters.

Ireland team to face Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday:
