The France international has been plagued by injuries, but marked his return from his latest lay-off by playing vs Hull City in the Capital One Cup
The former Portsmouth defender has struggled with injuries in recent seasons, and has not started a Premier League match since August 2012, with a recurring knee problem keeping him sidelined.

“Kaboul was extraordinary, we have to single him out,” Villas-Boas told reporters.
“We planned to take him off in the 60th minute. He was giving me signs that he had to come off in the 63rd minute and that’s when [Nacer] Chadli was injured, and he gave the thumbs up to continue.
“That is good because he made 120 minutes, and that is good for the medical department. I think we’ve finally buried his recurrent injuries as soon as he comes back in to play.
“We will be careful with his recovery from now on, but I’m sure we will have him back very, very soon.”
Kaboul, who has made 87 Premier League appearances for the White Hart Lane outfit, netted in Spurs' 8-7 penalty shoot-out victory over the Tigers to set up a quarter-final clash against West Ham.
