The Paris Saint-Germain forward reacted angrily to being substituted against Troyes on Saturday but the Brazilian is not planning to punish himParis Saint-Germain director of football Leonardo says Kevin Gameiro's reaction to being substituted against Troyes was perfectly acceptable.
The 25-year-old former Lorient striker kicked a water bottle and ignored coach Carlo Ancelotti as he left the field but the Brazilian will not be taking the matter any further.
"This is a normal reaction," the 43-year-old told France Football.
"He hasn't played too much this season. A penalty? No, no punishment. It has already happened with Menez and Nene. We understand that this bad mood lasts up to two hours after the match, then it stops."
Gameiro has been used sparingly this season but Leonardo went on to say that he wants the 25-year-old to remain at the Parc des Princes beyond the summer.
"I hope he does not ask to go, he must understand his importance, but maybe he wants something else," he added.
Following the 1-0 win against Troyes and Olympique de Marseille's draw with Lille, PSG sit nine points clear at the top of Ligue 1.
