The former AC Milan striker, who moved to France during the summer, made clear his desire to wear his preferred shirt number of choice upon his arrival in the capital.
"I hope the club will make me happy," he told Le Parisien back in July.
Unfortunately Nene did not wish to relinquish the jersey he felt was rightfully his and the Sweden international had to contend with the number 18 shirt.
However, with Nene departing Parc des Princes for Qatar, Ibrahimovic will now be granted his wish for Ligue 1 encounters.
But Uefa regulations prohibiting players from changing their jersey during a European campaign, mean he will have to make do with his original number for Champions League games.
