The Germany international is currently struggling with a knee ligament rupture which he picked up during his side's draw against Borussia Dortmund.
However, the 57-year-old has expressed his willingness to discuss new terms with the player.
"Despite his injury, we have offered him a new contract, it doesn't matter to us," he told Abendzeitung.
"If he wants to extend, the door to my office is open at any time," the ex-striker concluded.
Badstuber, who was brought through from the club's youth system by current Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal, currently has a deal which runs out on June 30, 2014.
