The former Bayern Munich manager believes that spending time with family has been beneficial for his well-being, and says that he plans to return to football in 2013Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath says he feels "really good" being away from football, but believes that he will be back in work by the start of next season.
The 59-year-old was sacked on October 25 by the Bundesliga club following a four-game points drought, but claims to be thoroughly enjoying his stint away from the managerial hotseat.
"It is amazing, to be constantly together with my family," Magath told Bild.de.
"I was separated for five years from my family - my wife and children were living in Munich.
"Football is currently a minor matter. I was rescued from a high pressure job, so during this break I feel really good."
Magath believes that his managerial credentials should be enough to secure him another job in the future, and also revealed that a host of clubs and countries are interested in his services.
"I have shown that I am [capable] with my values and my way of working anywhere in the league but being very successful. I saved financially troubled clubs from relegation.
"At Bayern Munich, the manager wanted me unconditionally, that resulted in four titles in two years.
"I will decide early this year where to go to. There have been one or two requests, from the Bundesliga, abroad, from national associations. I assume that I will be working by the summer of 2013," he said.
