After featuring for 120 minutes in their match against Real Madrid on Wednesday, several of the Bavarians' stars have been given a break and are set to start from the benchBayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has made widespread changes to his most-recent starting XI as his side entertain Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena.
Manuel Neuer, Philipp Lahm, David Alaba, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Franck Ribery, Toni Kroos, Arjen Robben, and Jerome Boateng all played for 120 minutes against Real Madrid on Wednesday as the Bavarians won a penalty shoot-out to advance to the Champions League final. And now, all eight players have been given a break as they have been omitted from Heynckes' line-up.
Goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt, striker Ivica Olic, and defensive midfielder Danijel Pranjic will start in what will be the final match each will play for Bayern in front of home fans.
Takashi Usami will feature on the right wing, with Anatoliy Tymoshchuk slotting in to central defence.
Rafinha and Diego Contento, who will be in competition to decide who starts in place of the suspended Alaba in the Champions League final, have both been given a chance to prove themselves on either side of defence.
For Stuttgart, Shinji Okazaki will begin the match on the left wing, while ex-Bayern man Georg Niedermeier partners Maza in central defence. Serdar Tasci remains sidelined due to a knee injury, while Khalid Boulahrouz has not been declared fit to play after suffering a toe fracture
