Germany coach Joachim Low has announced his 22-man squad to face France in next Wednesday's international friendly.

The trainer will be without several key figures due to injuries, and has taken the opportunity to nominate a number of players with only a few caps.

Experienced trio Per Mertesacker, Lukas Podolski and Bastian Schweinsteiger, who are at various stages in recovering from ankle knocks, have all been left out, whilst Borussia Dortmund youngster Mario Gotze has also been omitted due to a persistent hip problem.

Goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler, who is currently fit, has also been dropped as the 52-year-old has opted to bring only Manuel Neuer and Tim Wiese to the match in Bremen.

The France friendly will offer Low the opportunity to test several players of minimal experience, and all eyes will be on Marco Reus, who has just three caps to his name thus far but may get a run-out. Also in midfield, twins Lars (three caps) and Sven (one cap) Bender have been called up.

Kick-off at the Weserstadion is scheduled for next Wednesday, February 29, at 20.45CET.
