It's an honour to be in charge for the derby - Andreazzoli

The Roma boss says he wants to enjoy his first clash with Lazio in charge of the Giallorossi and warned his side not to make mistakes

Aurelio Andreazzoli says that he feels honoured to take charge of Roma for Monday's Derby della Capitale clash with Lazio.

The 59-year-old has warned his troops that they must keep their discipline against the Biancocelesti and hopes that their poor record in recent derbies will not work against them.

“It is a great privilege for me to be here for the Rome derby and I want to enjoy it all the way,” he said at a press conference.

“The fact Lazio have won the last three derbies could weigh on us, but we have to focus only on this match. If anything is going to have an influence, it could be last week’s [2-0] defeat to Palermo.

“Obviously winning against Palermo would have allowed us to go into this game with three more points and the confidence that had been building in recent weeks.

“It will be decisive to keep our cool, especially as there were so many red cards in recent meetings with Lazio."

Roma entertain Lazio at 20:45CET on Monday.
