Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has admitted that it would be a "dream" move to return to Italy.

The 20-year-old has made 13 league appearances for PSG this season and is pleased to be part of a team filled with big names and in with a chance of winning trophies.

But concedes that the thought of returning to Serie A in the future appeals to him.

“I think, for now, I made the right choice, I’m playing for a side made up of champions," Veratti told Radio RAI.

“I don’t know if I would have done better in Italy, but my dream is to return to playing football in my country.”

The Italian, who has two caps for his country, also spoke highly of former coach at Pescara, Zdenek Zeman, now in charge of Roma.

And although the Czech trainer has received criticism for dropping fans' favourite Daniele De Rossi, Verratti insists he is still the right man to take the Giallorossi forward.

He added: “He gave me so much, he had faith in me and the other young players. And we had a great season.

“De Rossi is a player who would be good for any team and I don’t know why he is not playing. But Zeman is a great coach, an ideal one for a big club.”
