Zanetti: Inter must not give up
The experienced midfielder has insisted the Giuseppe Meazza side still have every reason to be satisfied with their start to the season
Javier Zanetti has urged Inter to remain positive despite their recent disappointing results, and is desperate to get back to winning ways as soon as possible. The Nerazzurri have been in poor form in recent weeks after an impressive start to the 2012-13 campaign, and have dropped to fourth spot in the Serie A table following Monday evening's 1-0 away defeat to Parma.
"We mustn't give up now. There are lots of games left. We're sorry because we've suffered another defeat but we're still near the top," Zanetti told Inter Channel.
"I don't think many would have bet at the start of the year that we'd be in the top four at this stage.
"We need to find the same balance that enabled us to go on a great winning run and start another one going immediately."
Inter resume match action on Sunday when they host Palermo.
