Cambiasso 'bitter' over Inter's defeat to Parma
The Argentine left Stadio Ennio Tardini unhappy with the result, the performance and the impact it had on Nerazzuri's chances of winning the Serie A title
Esteban Cambiasso has revealed his bitterness over Inter's 1-0 loss to Parma. The San Siro outfit had the chance to close the gap at the top of Serie A to just a point after Juventus fell to defeat against AC Milan on Sunday, but a late goal from Nicola Sansone denied them and Cambiasso claims that they are desperate to forget about it and climb to the top of the table.
"There is bitterness tonight," he told Sky Sports.
"We are a club that are always at the top and we want to be back there.
"The first half we tried to take the game to Parma, we tried to keep hold of the ball but we were not very effective. They grew in confidence in the second half and created some good chances.
"Overall I would say they deserved the victory but I am disappointed with the performance."
Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni agreed with his midfielder and blasted their "worst-ever" final 45 minutes under his reign.
He added: "We started well and attacked Parma but they were solid, but the second-half was a different story. That was one of the worst second-half performances I have ever seen from the team."
