The Chile international joined the Serie A champions from Udinese in the summer transfer window, but a knee injury kept him on the sidelines in the opening weeks of the season.
Nevertheless, Isla made his Serie A debut for Juve in the 2-0 win over Chievo at the weekend, and Asamoah believes his former Udinese team-mate will only get better.
"Mauricio has only just come back after injury, so obviously he isn't on top of his game just yet," Asamoah was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
"I know what he's capable of, though, and I'm sure that the more he plays the better he'll get."
Isla will be looking to get more playing time on Tuesday, when Juventus travel to Fiorentina.
