The defender has set his sights on a move to the San Siro giants this summer, and feels he can only improve by training alongside better players
Chievo defender Francesco Acerbi has set his sights on a summer move to AC Milan. The defender, who is co-owned by Genoa and Chievo, has been in impressive form in the 2011-12 campaign, and the Rossoneri are closely monitoring the 23-year-old's development.
"I know that Milan have been asking for info about me. I feel good here at Chievo, but if there is the possibility for me to join Milan, then I will do everything in order to make it happen," Acerbi was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I feel ready to join Milan and I want to demonstrate it. I like new challenges, and to be able to face the champions who train every day at Milanello, would allow me to improve myself.
"I've already improved a lot this season, and I'm sure that I will improve more in the future. In order to become good enough for Milan, I need a bit more experience and I need to be more calm in certain situations."
Acerbi started his professional career with Pavia and also wore the jerseys of Renate, Spezia and Reggina.
