Luc Castaignos handed three-match ban for spitting at Andrea Raggi

The Dutch forward will have to sit out of Inter's next three matches for his behaviour during the club's 3-0 loss to Bologna on Friday at San Siro
Lega Calcio's disciplinary panel has handed Inter striker Luc Castaignos a three-game ban for spitting at Bologna's Andrea Raggi.

The 19-year-old was caught on camera spitting during Inter's 3-0 defeat on Friday and has been sanctioned even though referee Antonio Damato missed the incident.

It appeared that Castaignos missed his intended target, as there was some distance between the two players, but the Dutchman has been punished for the gesture nonetheless.

Inter have not yet stated whether they plan to appeal the decision, which
will see Castaignos miss the upcoming Serie A matches against Napoli, Catania and Chievo.
