Busquets impressed by Song

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has lavished praise on Alex Song, describing the Arsenal midfielder as a "very good player".

The Cameroon international has yet to start talks with the Gunners about a new contract, despite having just two years left on his current deal, and his performances at the Emirates Stadium have reportedly attracted the advances of the Blaugrana.

When asked for his opinion of the African, Busquets told ESPN: "Song is a very good player - young, a hard worker, with lots of physical power," he said.

Barcelona are believed to be keen on replacing Seydou Keita, who decided to leave the club at the end of last season to join Chinese club Dalian Aerbin.

Tito Villanova's side start their Liga campaign against Real Sociedad on August 19.
