The right-back then went on discuss the arrival of Tito Vilanova as new head coach at Camp Nou, and is confident that Pep Guardiola's former assistant is the right man for the job.
"I do not think that many things will change under Tito. The team will do its utmost to help him. Tito has clear ideas about what he wants. The only difference to last season is that Pep is no longer around.
"A quick look at my statistics shows that I did not have such a bad season last term. Tito has always said that he counts on me.
"Our goal for the new season is to win both La Liga and the Champions League."
