A report in Marca suggested that the 20-year-old had reached a pre-agreement with the Blaugrana over a four-year deal, but his representative has insisted that there is no truth in the rumours linking Ter Stegen with a summer move to the Camp Nou side.
"This is utter nonsense," Vom Bruch told Sport-Informations-Dienst.
Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl, meanwhile, has also dismissed the report.
"We will not comment on every nonsense report that's being written," Eberl commented to Spiegel.
Barcelona are in the market for a new goalkeeper with the imminent departure of Victor Valdes, who recently said that he will not renew his current deal until 2014.
Ter Stegen is regarded as one of Europe's biggest goalkeeping talents, and has a contract with Gladbach until 2015.
