The player's representative has dismissed reports linking him with the Nerazzurri, and says contract talks are underway with his current clubMauro Icardi's agent has refuted claims that the Sampdoria striker is close to sealing a move to Inter.
The 19-year-old had been heavily linked with the Italian giants in various media outlets, prompting the player's representative, Rinaldo Sagramola, to deny the rumours.
"There is no story," the Argentina Under-20 international's spokesman told Radio Kiss Kiss. "In fact, we are working for a [contract] renewal with Sampdoria.
"We have expressed no interest in a move to Inter, or Napoli for that matter.
"It is useless for Mauro to join a club that may offer him more money, but that stunts his growth as a footballer."
Icardi is currently Sampdoria's top scorer in Serie A, having scored eight goals this season.
