Silvestre eager to ditch Inter for Napoli, says agent
The defender, who is on loan at San Siro from Palermo, has rejected bids from Genoa and Atalanta according to Eugenio Ascari, as he wants to secure a switch to San Paolo
Inter loanee Matias Silvestre is eager to move to Napoli in the January transfer window, according to his agent.
The defender joined the Nerazzurri on loan from Palermo during the summer but has struggled to secure a regular starting berth at San Siro.
Silvestre’s representative Eugenio Ascari has revealed that other Serie A sides have been rejected, as the former Boca Juniors starlet is desperate to play his football at San Paolo.
"He has refused moves to Genoa and Atalanta," Eugenio Ascari told Radio Crc.
"His ambition is to play for Napoli, which is why he refused the two teams just mentioned."
The Partenopei are second in Serie A having seen their points deduction over a match-fixing scandal erased, while Inter sit fourth - four points behind the Naples club and seven adrift of leaders Juventus.
