Javi Garcia will not leave Benfica, says agent

The holding midfielder's representative confirmed that there are clubs interested in his client, but insisted that no offers have been made
Benfica midfielder Javi Garcia is not interested in leaving the Portuguese club, his agent has said.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from Benfica recently after enjoying an impressive season at the Estadio da Luz.

Manchester United and AC Milan have both been credited with an interest in the player, but his agent has seemingly quashed the possibility of a summer transfer.

"He will stay at the club for a long time," Manuel Garcia Quilon told Record. "He is happy at Benfica.

"There have been interested clubs, but no offers have been made."

Javi Garcia, who joined Benfica from Real Madrid in 2009, has made 38 appearances in all competitions this season.
