Michael O'Neill has named a 23-man panel for his side's upcoming friendly international against Malta and he has opted to include several uncapped players

Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill has named a 23-man squad for his side's upcoming international friendly against Malta on February 6.

Liverpool youth player Ryan McLaughlin is in line to make his first senior international appearance for Northern Ireland after being named, while Tranmere Rovers star Adam McGurk and Inverness forward Billy McKay are also set to pick up their first caps.

Former senior Republic of Ireland international Alex Bruce has also been named in the panel and the Hull City centre back is in line to make his first appearance for Northern Ireland after switching allegiance in 2012.

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has been included, while West Brom centre back Gareth McAuley is also named, but there was no place for David Healy or Kyle Lafferty.
