The Hoops have recruited two new goalkeepers as they continue to build for the upcoming League of Ireland campaign
Stephen Bradley has added two goalkeepers to his Shamrock Rovers squad ahead of the 2017 season, with the signing of Tomer Chencinski and Kevin Horgan.
Canada international Chencinski, 32, joins Rovers from Henrik Larsson's Helsingborgs, while Horgan, 19, arrives at Tallaght Stadium from Galway United, where he made four league appearances in the last two seasons.
As well as Helsingborgs, Chencinski counts Israeli outfit Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Finnish sides RoPS and FC Santa Claus among his former clubs. Rovers head coach Bradley believes that the experienced shot-stopper will "bring a calm influence" to the defence.
"We're delighted to sign Tomer Chencinski, we've been working hard on this one for the past few weeks now, and he’s a player that we’ve been really keen to get," Bradley told the official Shamrock Rovers website. "He (Tomer) has played in a lot of good leagues and he has a lot of experience which is something we're delighted about.
"He's an international goalkeeper and a very good goalkeeper all round. He's very comfortable on the ball at his feet, which is good. He's a really great addition and he'll bring a calm influence to the back four."
Meanwhile, Dundalk have confirmed that Gabriel Sava has committed to the club for another campaign, as Stephen Kenny gets to work securing his squad for the 2017 season.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper, who joined Dundalk from Drogheda United in 2014, is behind Gary Rogers in the pecking order at Oriel Park, making just four league appearances in 2016.
A former Monaghan United player, Sava made four more appearances in the FAI Cup and EA Sports Cup last season, as well as one appearance in the Europa League against Zenit.
