Pete Mahon has bolstered his squad with the signing of "promising left-back" Conor Kane, as well as securing the services of Marc Griffin
Drogheda United have completed the signing of Conor Kane from St Patrick's Athletic ahead of the 2017 League of Ireland campaign.
The 18-year-old defender, who is a Republic of Ireland youth international, made one appearance for the Saints in 2016, featuring in the 8-0 FAI Cup win over Pike Rovers as a replacement for Ger O'Brien.

United manager Pete Mahon believes that the former Cherry Orchard and St Kevin's Boys youth is "more than capable" of succeeding in the Premier Division.
"Conor is an Ireland underage international who has played with St Pat's after coming through the Cherry Orchard set-up. He is a very promising left-back who is more than capable of making the step-up," Mahon told the club's official website.
As well as the acquisition of Kane, Mahon has also secured the services of striker Marc Griffin for another season.
The 25-year-old, who counts Dundalk and Derry City among his former clubs, joined Drogheda at the beginning of the 2016 season from Bohemians and made 28 appearances.
"Marc finished the season in fine form and played a big part is us gaining promotion, as did the other players," United boss Mahon said.
"He is fully recovered from his injury now and he is relishing the challenge of playing in the Premier Division once again."
