Malouda moves to Trabzonspor

The France international passed a medical with the Turkish outfit on Wednesday before putting pen to paper on a two-year contract

Trabzonspor have completed the signing of Florent Malouda on a free transfer after the midfielder left Chelsea.

The France international was frozen out of the Blues first-team squad last season, after electing to see out the final year of his contract with the club rather than accept a wage cut to move elsewhere.

Malouda had been linked with a return to France with Marseille, as well as Serie A outfit Napoli, but he has instead penned a two-year contract with Trabzonspor.

The versatile winger scored 45 goals in 220 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea, following his arrival from Lyon in the summer of 2007.

The 33-year-old lifted one Premier League title, three FA Cups and a Champions League during his stay at Stamford Bridge.
