The Barcelona defender has urged his team-mates not to be afraid of the reigning world and European champions and take the Confederations Cup final to la RojaDani Alves says Brazil must believe they are the best side in the world if they are to defeat Spain in Sunday's Confederations Cup final in Rio.
La Roja are the reigning world and European champions but the Barcelona right-back is in no doubt the Selecao can upset Vicente del Bosque's men - if their attitude is right.
“To be a great champion, you have to believe that you are the best and if you aren’t, then you have to act as though you are," he told reporters on the eve of the final.
"If we go out there feeling inferior, they will put two or three goals past us in 10 minutes. We are playing at home, so we need to take the game to Spain and make them understand that this is Brazil.
“I hope that the team is up to the level required for a game like this – we’re up against the best national team in the world.
"The final’s going to be a real sight to see for those watching, I hope that we can give them something to cheer."
Brazil's eagerly anticipated showdown with Spain at the Maracana is scheduled to kick off at 00:00CET.
