Ajax youth trio scolded by Frank de Boer after reporting to training three minutes late

The 42-year-old was left fuming with the delayed arrival of the youngsters, and questioned their desire to make it to the senior squad, in a scene captured by Dutch television

Ajax coach Frank de Boer was furious after three players from the club's youth ranks reported late for Tuesday's training session.

The trio showed up three minutes late for the exercise, and the manager reprimanded them in front of the rest of the squad, an incident which was caught by Dutch TV AT5.

"Don't you want to play for Ajax's first team?," he asked the players. "I cannot believe that you arrive here three minutes past six, when training began at six o'clock.

"It does not matter that you are young, because the other players were here on time.

"You guys are new at the squad and this is unbelievable."

It is still unknown whether the trio will face disciplinary action for their behaviour.

Ajax won the Eredivisie title in 2011-12, finishing six points above second-placed Feyenoord.
