In the build up to Euro 2012 the 59-year-old has stated his desire to work in one of Europe's top two leagues after he ends his reign as coach of the OranjeBert van Marwijk has revealed that he wants to coach in either Spain or England when he decides to leave his current post with the Netherlands.
The former Borussia Dortmund and Feyenoord trainer stated that La Liga or the Premier League would be his preferred destination should he end his reign with the national team.
"I need to have a good feeling at that club," Van Marwijk told Voetbal International.
"Italy or Germany I also find very nice, but my preference is for an English or a Spanish club."
The 59-year-old intimated that he has made the proper arrangements with the Dutch football association in case he seeks a return to club football.
"I was well aware of the consequences when I signed that contract. I am having a great time at the KNVB and Oranje.
"However, we have a clear agreement in case a nice club makes an approach."
The Netherlands coach selected his preliminary squad of 36 players for Euro 2012 on Monday but will need to whittle it down to his final 23 by May 19.
