Wolves stay rooted to the bottom of the table, while stoke move up to 11th, just behind Fulham on goal difference. Albeit 13 goals of difference!
FULL TIME: And with that defeat, Terry Connor's men have equalled Wolves' worst losing streak since 1992. Stoke were well worth the win with the visitors looking flaky at the back and unintuitive going forward. The Potters probably could have scored more if they had their shooting boots on, but the fans will be more than happy with a win.

But it is easily defended by Stoke defenders.

Wolves win a corner and this will be the last set-piece of the match.

Wow. Stearman finds himself with a great opportunity to get a shot on target after some brilliant wing-play by Doyle, but the defender is closed down quickly by Stoke defenders. If he got that out of his feet quicker, he maybe could have got an equaliser.
After a good run by Zubar, Kevin Doyle finds himself with the ball at his feet facing away from goal , but the Irish frontman can only fire straight at Begovic on the swivel
Jarvis with a very disappointing corner from the left. With his team-mates all making runs into the box, the winger strikes the ball behind the runners and it goes out for a throw on the near-side.
Stoke had a chance to play the ball into the area with Crouch there, but opted to play the ball back. That was a possible 2 on 2 situation.
A dodgy backpass by Zubar is almost pounced on by Walters but Hennessey calmly passes the ball back to the defender.
Kightly manages to get into a great position on the right after the ball is deflected into his path, but his powerful curled shot is glanced over the bar by Shawcross. That could have been a lot worse for Stoke.
Wolves' evening is epitomised by a free-kick. They try to take it quickly but pass it straight to a Stoke player.
Pennant with a brilliant reverse cross on the left into the Wolves area which is glanced towards goal by Peter Crouch. However, the striker can't direct the header on target and it goes out for a goal-kick. Wolves looking shaky
If Stoke manage to hold onto this win, they will move 3 places up to 11th.
Matt Jarvis, undoubtedly Wolves' stand-out performer, cuts in from the left but slices wide of Begovic's left-hand post.
If Wolves do score another here today, it will most probably come from one of the two wide-men. They are Wolves' only outlet in this match.
Almost ate my words there! Kightly somehow evades three Stoke players inside the box and weaves his way towards Hennessey. He then drills in a low cross into Jarvis who, sliding in, is beaten to the ball by a Stoke defender. Maybe should have scored.
Stearman thinks he's brought down in the box but the referee is having none of it. The Wolves defender reacts by throwing the ball into the ground. The frustration of the bottom club is showing, it's all Stoke now.
And Crouch comes close again! Etherington whips in a corner from the right, and after some poor defending, the striker finds the ball at his feet only for him to hit it wide.
Assist Jermaine Pennant
Goal Peter Crouch
GOAL!!! A superb header by Peter Crouch! A free-kick on the right-hand side is floated into the box and the big man heads the ball across Hennessey and into the right side of the net. Potters fans strike up a chorus of "Crouch for England"
There are a LOT of tackles flying in here.
Stoke are looking the more dangerous team so far, but both outfits are giving away far too many fouls at the moment.
Shotton winds up another one of his mammoth throws into the Wolves box, but it is caught easily by Hennessey.
Ahhh and Wolves come close! A free-kick whipped in from the right by Kightly finds Bassong's emphatic leap 6 yards out. He heads the ball just wide of the left-hand upright when he maybe should have scored or at least tested the goalkeeper.
If Wolves end up losing this game, it will be their worst losing run in 20 years. If that's not an extra incentive to avoid defeat, I don't know what is!
But the free-kick by Fletcher is easily picked up by Begovic. Not enough power in the shot.
Wolves win an early corner on the right, but it is easily defended by Stoke. Then after a determined run by Michael Kightly, he is brought down on the edge of the area. This is a great shooting position for the away side.
The home side kick-off for the second half

The whistle goes for HALF-TIME. After a gentle start to this West Midlands derby, the game has been fast and frenetic. Both teams have taken turns to put their opposition under pressure and on the whole a 1-1 draw is a fair scoreline. Though it's a mystery how there hasn't been more goals.
45' + 2'
Jermaine Pennant takes the free-kick, but sees his effort fall wide of the target. That was ambitious considering the ball was over 30 yards out.
45' + 1'
Stoke win a central free-kick deep inside the Wolves half.
Walters almost starts and finishes a move and comes close for Stoke. After some good hold-up play by the Irish forward, he plays in Etherington with bags of space on the left. The winger whips the ball into the box and Walters leaps well but sees his header fall straight into the hands of Hennessey.
As it did with Wolves, the Stoke goal has woken the Potters up! Shawcross tries to lob Hennessey after a cross falls to him, and then Marc Wilson fires in a driven shot from 30 yards out which zips just over.
Assist Ryan Shawcross
Goal Robert Huth
GOAL!!! And what a dangerous position it proved! The free-kick is whipped in by Etherington, and after a spot of head tennis in the area, the ball lands to centre-back Robert Huth who finishes emphatically on the half-volley through Hennessey's legs. First Stoke effort on target and their first goal. A finish a centre-forward would be proud of!
Yellow Card Matthew Etherington
Yellow Card Michael Kightly
Time for some handbags. Etherington is brought down by Kightly deep in the Wolves half and the two players square up to each other. Free-kick Stoke in a dangerous position. The two players are booked.
A corner from Wolves on the right is taken short by Michael Kightly to Jarvis. The winger proceeds to beat one man on the right hand side of the area, and his lofted cross just evades the head of Ebanks-Blake
The goal has really livened this game up, and Wolves have the bit between their teeth. Jarvis is proving the difference for Wolves as he sets up another chance for Michael Kightly, but his shot is blocked.
Incidentally, Kightly's goal was definitely a cross. But he won't care. Still 1-0 Wolves
At the other end, Crouch has his header cleared off the line by Fletcher. A scramble in the box ensues before the ball trickles out for a goal-kick.
Goal Michael Kightly
GOAL! Out of nowhere, Wolves break the deadlock! Michael Kightly cuts in from the right and crosses the ball with the outside of his foot. Yet the ball is missed by his team-mate Edwards, and with the goalkeeper expecting a touch from the on-rushing Wolves player, the cross goes straight into the net.
Assist David Edwards
And with the miss fresh on his mind, Walters goes on a mazy run and blasts the ball goal-wards from about 20 yards out, but it is blocked by Bassong.
AND IT'S A BIG MISS! A beautiful lofted cross from the left by Marc Wilson sees Crouch rise easily above Wolves defender Zubar and nod the ball into the path of Walters. But with the goal gaping, Walters misses the target from 2 yards out with a diving header. Close.
But it's Stoke who come closest to scoring. Etherington advances on the right and whips in a pacy low cross which is awkwardly put behind for a corner by Stearman with Crouch lurking behind him. That could have easily been an own goal.
And the tricky Jarvis is involved again. A long ball down the left flank picks out the Wolves winger, and his pace means that Shotton can only put the ball out for a corner. All of Wolves play is coming down this left hand side.
Both teams are resorting to long-balls into the opposition half, but not to much effect. Wolves are looking the better team at the moment, with Jarvis in particular proving a handful for Ryan Shotton down the left.
Wolves have defended stoutly so far and are growing into the game. A long throw from the right by Ryan Shotton is collected easily by Hennessey.
The corner is taken short to Michael Kightly who advances into the box and pulls the ball back to Stephen Ward, his shot fizzing wildly over Begovic's goal.
Wolves are looking a bit flat here, but win a corner on the left.
And it's a header by Crouch that sets-up the first effort. He flicks the ball over his shoulder and into the path of Walters who, seeing Wayne Hennessey off of his line, audaciously volleys the ball over the bar from nearly 30 yards out
Wolves are already looking shaky. Pennant is causing some problems down the right and Peter Crouch is winning a lot of aerial balls.
And Stoke are denied what looks like a penalty! An early run down the left sees the Potters win a corner, and from the resulting dead-ball, Jonathan Walters looks as if he's been deliberately blocked off. Lively start here.
And Wolves get us underway here!
Ebanks-Blake is preferred to Kevin Doyle for the visitors and Ricardo Fuller has to wait for his chance up top for the Potters, with Jonathon Walters filling that position instead
The big team-news is that captain Roger Johnson has dropped to the bench for Wolves and has been replaced by Ronald Zubar
Wolves: Hennessey, Stearman, Ward, Bassong, Zubar, Edwards, Kightly, Henr, Jarvis, Ebanks-Blake, Fletcher Subs: De Vries, Johnson, Berra, Milijas, Davis, Forde, Doyle
And now to the team-news: Stoke: Begovic, Huth, Shawcross, Shotton, Whelan, Pennant, Whitehead, Etherington, Walters, Crouch Subs: Sorenson, Upson, Delap, Palacios, Jones, Fuller, Jerome
