Dean Delany put in a good performance in the away goal as Bohs held the Saints to a point at Richmond Park

A first-half Anthony Flood header was cancelled out by Dave Mulcahy's equaliser as St Patrick's Athletic and Bohemians played out a scrappy draw at Richmond Park.

Chris Lyons almost continued his good form for the visitors early on, connecting with Andy Mulligan's cross, but the ball went just wide. The former UCD frontman continued to threaten in the opening half an hour, with Bohemians marginally the better side. However, it was Pat's who struck first, as Anthony Flood headed in Ian Bermingham's cross to give his side the lead.

Dean Delany almost cost his side a goal just after the restart, but collected at the second attempt after fumbling Bermingham's cross-cum-shot. Roberto Lopes did well to save his side after the hour mark, clearing Conan Byrne's effort off the line, before the same player headed off the crossbar moments later.

Bohs' equaliser finally came through Dave Mulcahy on 70 minutes, with Ryan McEvoy sending in a corner for the defender to head home. Delany pulled off a great save a few minutes later, keeping out Kenny Browne's header with a full-stretch save.

Jake Kelly should have grabbed a winner for Pat's after coming off the bench, but shot over when through on goal. In the visiting goal, Delany continued to impress, keeping out Chris Fagan on a couple of occasions.

Bohs held out to take a share of the spoils, stopping the Saints from closing the gap on Sligo Rovers at the top of the table.
