Did well to save Doumbia's thunderous drive late in the half and parried the resulting corner, but will have been happy to watch the African's drive sail over the bar early in the game. Could do nothing to stop Tosic's wonder goal with 13 minutes left.
Exposed early on by Musa as he was caught out of position and looked better in attack than defence. Made a good run into the area just short of the half-hour mark but tripped and fell. Couldn't control Xabi's deep ball into the box later on, but was full of running.
Came charging out to make a good sliding tackle early on and was rarely troubled at the back, although he and Pepe struggled to deal with the pace of Doumbia early on.
Allowed Doumbia to get free after eight minutes and will have been relieved to see the Cote d'Ivoire striker miss the target. Did just enough to put off the same player after Musa's dangerous low ball into the area shortly afterwards. Fairly solid overall. Left floored by Tosic's turn before the forward blasted home his wonder strike.
Penalised for a stamp outside the box which gave CSKA a free-kick in a dangerous area in the first half, the full-back was solid in his defensive duties but unspectacular going forward.
Dispossessed rather easily on a promising run early on, but was heavily involved after that. Slid the ball across the box for Higuain to score the first goal, then hit a low shot just wide after that and almost set up the same player for a second just before half-time. Dragged a low shot wide from distance in the second half, but his link-up play was excellent and he was given a huge hug by Mourinho as he left the pitch.
Controlled Ozil's clever pass, looked up and sent a brilliant chip over the CSKA defenders to set up Kaka, who in turn squared for Higuain to tap home the opener. Great vision and he played a much more proactive part in his side's attacks while also cutting out balls and winning back possession.
Had one thunderous effort early on which was deflected wide, then curled a free-kick high and just wide after 32 minutes. His deep ball for Marcelo later in the half was just overhit and the Brazilian failed to control. Was booked early in the second half and misses the next match.
Neat one-two with Ronaldo after 15 minutes and advanced into the area where he went down theatrically. Set up Khedira with a good pass in the build-up to the first goal, then saw his low ball across the area evade everyone after a brilliant run down the right. Great vision to set up Benzema for the third with a quick low cross. Bright and busy.
Almost got on the end of Ronaldo's ball early on but was beaten to it by Chepchugov. Was on hand to slot home the opener after Khedira found Kaka and the Brazilian slid the ball across the box. Stretched every sinew to get on the end of Kaka's cross late in the first half but couldn't quite get there and saw an effort ruled out for offside after the break.
Played a good one-two with Ozil which led to the German appealing for a penalty, then charged down the right before cutting back a low cross which was cleared. Came close with an angled drive in the second half, fired home the second with a wicked curler from distance 10 minutes after the break, then won a corner with a brilliant run and cross, heading over the subsequent set piece. Constantly involved and tapped home a second, and fourth for Madrid, deep into added time.
Booked for time-wasting as early as the 17th minute, it was to be a miserable night for the CSKA goalkeeper, who made a mess of Ronaldo's swerving shot which made it 2-0 and failed to save Benzema's shot and saw the Frenchman fire home the rebound.
Came across from left-back to cover well and clear Ronaldo's dangerous cutback virtually off the line after 17 minutes, although his clearance handed Kaka a decent opportunity which the Brazilian hit wide. Given problems by the lively Ozil all night.
Placed a hand on Ozil in the area early on, but the German's theatrical fall didn't merit a spot kick. Made a good clearance from Ozil's low cross after 23 minutes, but was left ball-watching for the opening goal.
Was left for dead by Ronaldo's pace after 17 minutes as the Portuguese strode down the wing and sent a low cross into the area which was eventually cleared. Booked for bringing down Ronaldo in full flight after half an hour and was outpaced on a number of occasions.
The right-back was beaten on a number of occasions down his flank by Ronaldo and was given a torrid time by Kaka as well. Should have been in a better position as Madrid took the lead, with Kaka allowed all the time and space he needed to square for Higuain.
Some very good touches in the final third and it was his brilliant ball which set up Doumbia for a wonderful chance early on. He also found Tosic in space as the latter fired CSKA's only goal of the night. His late free-kick into the box was cleared with ease, but his was a positive performance.
Was overrun in midfield and couldn't keep up with the pace in a disappointing first half. Was replaced at the interval.
Didn't see much of the ball down the left-hand side of CSKA's attack, but scored his side's goal as he turned Pepe with a great piece of skill and lashed an unstoppable drive into the top corner from miles out with Casillas well beaten.
A hero from the first match as he netted a late leveller in Moscow, the midfielder worked tirelessly in this match but was overrun and restricted to a largely defensive role, unable to get forward as much as he would have liked. Put in plenty of tackles, though.
Went clean through in the opening minutes but blasted the ball over the bar when he should have given CSKA the lead. Couldn't get on the end of Musa's low cross a few minutes later and failed to trouble Casillas. A lot was expected of him and despite some bright moments and lightning pace, he didn't deliver.
Slid a very dangerous low cross into the area after escaping down the right after 12 minutes but Doumbia couldn't get on the end of it. Harshly booked for a supposed foul on Marcelo, his pace caused problems but he faded and departed on the hour.

Came on for the last few minutes.
Came on for Kaka with 15 minutes left.
- 5 N. Şahin
Came off the bench with just over 20 minutes left and made an instant impact as he latched onto Ozil's cross and beat Chepchugov at the second time of asking. Also squared for Ronaldo to score the second in the 94th minute. An impressive cameo.

Brought on for Aldonin at the break to give his side more steel in central midfield, but this didn't work as Madrid stepped up. Played even deeper as the match wore on and failed to stem the tide as Madrid attacked incessantly.
- 2 D. Šemberas
Was brought on for the last half an hour after Musa tired and set up Dzogoev to fire home but was penalised for offside. Did little else after that.
- 19 A. Cauņa
Came on for the last 10 minutes but made little impact.
