Real Madrid win Aggregate 5 - 2
Celta de Vigo
Full time in Santiago Bernabeu. A Fabulous hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo and a last minute strike from Sami Khedira earn Real Madrid a tie in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey against Valencia. Sergio Ramos will serve another suspension after being sent off in the second half but Madrid showed resilience to earn a 5-2 aggregate victory over Celta. Thank you for joining us on Goal.com! I'm Martin Macdonald, see you next time!
GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!!! What a poor goal to concede! Sami Khedira finds himself in a great position inside the box. He sidesteps Alvarez before scuffing a shot towards goal, which somehow trickles through the legs of Jonathan Vila on the line! 4-0.
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!! The hosts counterattack at blistering pace through the middle with Higuain. The Argentine picks out the oncoming Ronaldo, who runs through on goal and clinically finishes into the bottom corner with his left foot! Hat-trick! 3-0, game over.
A real waste from Roberto Lago. The left-back had Aspas, Krohn-Delhi, and Augusto inside the area but the substitute swings his cross far over everyone's heads and out for a Madrid corner.
Yellow CardAugusto Fernández
Augusto Fernandez is the latest player to enter the book after the Celta man goes in very late on Arbeloa. Madrid now have a free kick in a great position down the left. They opt to take it into the corner.
Intelligent play from Luka Modric. The Croatian takes the pressure off his defence and drives up the left-hand side, eventually buying a cheap free kick from Bellvis.
Things getting a little tense in the Madrid ranks now. A few times they have had the opportunity to get the ball up the park and keep it but rash passes have surrendered possession too easily to Celta.
And again! Casillas is keeping Madrid in the game here! Augusto outmuscles Modric inside the box and cracks a low left-footed shot towards the bottom corner but the captain of the hosts comes up with a superb save again to turn the ball round the post!
Ángel Di María
Another good save from Casillas! Krohn-Delhi gets in behind Arbeloa and smashes a strike towards the top left corner but the Madrid goalkeeper palms the ball out to the wing!
Jose Mourinho reacts to the sending off with a change, but brings on an attacking player. Angel Di Maria is given a run out and Mesut Ozil is replaced. Varane, Carvalho, and Arbeloa have condensed to make a back three now.
Sergio Ramos is sent off! The Madrid defender is given is second yellow card for kicking out at Augusto Fernandez! That could have been a straight red. Los Blancos have to play under 20 minutes with 10 men, we could be in for a grandstand finish here!
20 minutes to go now. As we know, away goals in the Copa del Rey count as double so if the visitors were to score, we would head into extra time.
De Lucas with the shot! Once again Madrid are caught slightly cold by a pacey attack from the visitors. The 34-year-old takes on Sergio Ramos before flashing a strike towards the near post, but Casillas gets his body behind the ball and blocks it out for a corner.
Second change of the match from Mourinho. Gonzalo Higuain comes on for Karim Benzema, who has not had the best of games this evening.
Celta have looked much brighter since the introduction of Iago Aspas. He is providing a lot of movement in the final third, something they were missing in the first period with Park up top.
Aspas looks to take the game by the scruff of the neck. The sub twists and turns on the edge of the box and lashes a left-footed strike towards goal but Casillas saves fairly comfortably.
Great covering again from Sergio Ramos. Celta counterattack at pace once again. Krohn-Delhi gallops forward and scoops a lovely pass over the top of the Madrid defence for Aspas, but the Madrid shows superb pace to come in and collect possession.
Aspas picks up a pass down the wing and drives at pace towards Carvalho. The substitute whips a wicked cross into the box but Sergio Ramos is there to head the ball out for a corner kick.
Positive change from Paco Herrera. Celta's top goalscorer, Iago Aspas, is introduced into the action in place of the disappointing Park Chu-Young.
The second half has been a scrappy affair so far. Madrid have dropped their tempo down a few gears and their dogged midfield duo of Essien and Khedira are doing their utmost to stifle any potential Celta attacks.
Vital touch from Celta substitute, Roberto Lago. Benzema looked poised to blast a shot at goal from 12 yards but the left-back sprinted over to get an important nick on the ball. He takes the ball out wide and then sends the ball up the wing for Augusto.
Fantastic cross from Enrique De Lucas!! Celta counterattack and the ball is flashed across the six yard box but there are not takers! Park was nearest but he couldn't bust a gut to get on the end of the ball!
Benzema steals the ball in the final third and exchanges a one-two with Ronaldo that sees him in a good position on the right wing. The Frenchman fizzes a cross inside but Cabral blasts the ball up the park.
Andres Tuñez Arceo
A substitution to report for you. Xabi Alonso has been withdrawn and his replacement is Raphael Varane. Michael Essien will come into midfield, with Ramos switching to right-back.
We are back under way!
Half time in Santiago Bernabeu. A first minute rasper and a cool finish from Ronaldo are the difference at the moment as Real Madrid are on their way to the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey. It is certainly not a foregone conclusion, however, as an away goal for Celta evens it all up. Perfectly balanced tie at the moment! Join us in 15 minutes for the second period!
45' + 1'
The referee brings back play as Benzema was offside inside the box. Alvarez wasn't to know that, though!
Fantastic double save from Alvarez! The Celta keeper' makes a point-blank save from Karim Benzema and then gets up quickly to push away a volley from the Frenchman!
A melee unfolds as Madrid players are unhappy with Celta for not putting the ball out of play when a player appeared to be injured. Sergio Ramos and Arbeloa are involved in the spat and and are booked for their troubles.
Yellow CardSergio Ramos
Sergio Ramos steps up and clips the free kick towards the top corner but it just bounces off the top of the net. Surprising that Ronaldo didn't have a crack but the Spaniard was unlucky in his attempt.
Jose Mourinho is absolutely furious with the referees decision to only produce a yellow card! The Portuguese coach picks up a ball and volleys it down the tunnel! Great technique on the strike from the Madrid boss!
Tunez receives the first booking of the match, but he should have been sent off! The Celta man clips the heels of Ronaldo as the Madrid attacker looks to collect a pass that would have saw him through on goal.
Yellow CardAndres Tuñez Arceo
What a bizarre decision from the linesman! The ball is played through to Ronaldo who looks poised to earn his hat-trick goal but play is brought back for an offside. The Portuguese was at least five yards onside! Terrible from the official.
Superb save from Alvarez!! Essien slips a neat pass into Mesut Ozil who drives down the inside right channel. The German takes the ball around the Celta keeper', who manages to recover brilliantly to make a stop with his legs!
Ronaldo steps up and slams the ball towards goal but the ball bounces on Tunez and goes out for a corner kick. That was heading towards goal!
Great chance for Madrid here. Modric showed trickery on the outside of the box and was pushed to the floor by Cabral. This is definitely Ronaldo territory.
A small break in play at the moment is Xabi Alonso is currently down after being body-checked by Jonathan Vila inside the centre circle. He's just receiving treatment but it looks like he'll be okay.
Essien finds himself in a good position on the right flank and threads a pass down the wing for Khedira. The German gets to the byline and smashes a cross into the box but Celta manage to clear into the stand. Relentless Madrid pressure and possession at the moment.
Celta are going to have to come out of their shell now. They could not have had a worse start. Paco Herrera's men are going to have to get an away goal if they are to have a chance of making the quarter-finals.
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!!! And then he breaks Pirri's tally! Ronaldo latches on to a delightful chipped pass through the centre from Modric and coolly finishes into the bottom left corner! 2-0!
Cristiano Ronaldo continues to break records. The goal in the second minute means the Portuguese is now Real Madrid's seventh all time scorer on 172 goals, level with Pirri.
Superb sliding challenge from Ramos! Celta counterattack at pace down the left-hand side through Krohn-Delhi. The Dane slips a pass through the middle for Park that would have seen the visitors through on goal but the Madrid defender is there to clear with a commanding tackle.
Celta have Madrid camped in slightly at the moment. A couple of corner kicks have been whipped in but the hosts holding firm for the timebeing. A poor pass from Cabral eventually sees Casillas get the goal kick.
A chorus of boos comes from the Santiago Bernabeu crowd as Celta keep the ball for five or six passes. The home supporters probably think the visitors are looking to run down the clock in only the 16th minute!
Celta have a bit more confidence about them now. The front four of Krohn Dehli, Augusto, De Lucas, and Park are beginning to see some more of the ball. Nothing truly threatening so far, though.

Benzema's poor touch lets him down!! Xabi Alonso collects possession in the Celta half and slides a glorious pass through the middle of the defence for the Frenchman, who allows the ball to go under his foot and out for a goal kick.
Great defending from Modric! Celta mount their first attack down the left-hand side. Michael Krohn-Dehli eventually drives into the box but the Croatian comes back with a well-timed challenge to clear the ball away from danger.
Modric and Ozil have been excellent in the opening period of the game. The duo are swapping positions from the right-hand side to the centre and are always looking for the ball. Celta struggling with the movement of Madrid at the moment.
The hosts are all over Celta in the opening stages here. I don't think the visitors have even been in the final third yet. They have a pretty good outlet up top in the form of Park Chu-Young, but have been unable to get the ball to him as of yet.
Madrid could not have wished for a better start. There was perhaps some question marks over the goalkeeping of Sergio Alvarez for Ronaldo's goal, but it really was a superb strike.
GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!!! What a strike! Sami Khedira throws the ball to Cristiano Ronaldo, who chests down, takes a couple of touches, and dips a fantastic right-footed shot into the far corner! 1-0!
We are under way at Santiago Bernabeu!
However, the Galicians have beaten Madrid on two of their last three Liga visits to Santiago Bernabeu. This has the makings of a brilliant clash, folks!
Celta have lost all but one of their away matches this season, with the sole exception being a 1-0 Liga win at Zaragoza.
Two very interesting stats for you...
A key moment in the first leg was certainly Cristiano Ronaldo's 87th minute goal to claw the deficit back to one for Madrid. A 2-1 Celta lead from the first leg still makes Los Blancos favourites to progress tonight.
So Iker Casillas does indeed make a return to the starting XI. Is Jose Mourinho starting to crack to the media pressure? Or does he simply need his best goalkeeper in what is simply, a must win match?
This is how Celta will be lining up tonight: Sergio; Mallo, Tunez, Cabral, Bellvis; Jonathan Vila, Alex Lopez; De Lucas, Krohn-Dehli, Augusto; Park.
This is the starting XI of Real Madrid: Casillas; Essien, Carvalho, Ramos, Arbeloa; Khedira, Xabi Alonso; Modric, Ozil, Ronaldo; Benzema.
I'm Martin Macdonald, and I'll be taking you through the action tonight. The first leg was an absolute cracker, with a stunning goal from Cristian Buston proving to be the difference in the 78th minute. Let's hope we have the same level of entertainment tonight!
