FULL-TIME! Russia take an undeserved point in Marseille, with V. Berezutskiy netting a stoppage-time header to equalise, after a free-kick effort from Dier opened the scoring. England created all of the chances and dominated long stages, but couldn't make their control count. The spoils are shared, meaning that Wales go out in front in Group B. That's all that we have time for, we hope to see you again next time.

90' + 2' GOOOOOOOOAL! RUSSIA MAKE IT 1-1 IN STOPPAGE TIME! V. Berezutskiy tries his luck with a looping header at the back post, with the header having enough power on it to loop over a stranded Hart and into the back of the net. That wasn't in the script.
90' + 1' Mamaev dips a cross in from the right-hand side, but Smalling gets in ahead of Dzyuba to head behind for a corner. The resulting set-piece is delivered by Kokorin, but it fails to beat the first man.
90' There are three minutes of stoppage time.
89' We're into the dying minutes in Marseille, with England happy to hold players back and not take any chances. Milner is on in midfield, with the Liverpool midfielder offering more defensive cover and work-rate than Sterling.

England
87' Milner comes into midfield on the left-hand side, with a tired Sterling jogging off.
87' Hart is in no rush to take his goal-kick now, with England toning things down for the dying embers of this game. Hodgson isn't taking any risks as we get down to the business end of proceedings.
P. Mamaev

Russia
85' Smolov takes his leave, as Slutskiy makes his final change. Mamaev replaces him.
85' Kane manages to win another free-kick from Iganshevich, with England once again looking to threaten from a dead-ball situation. The Spurs striker takes aim from 30 yards out, but balloons his effort horrendously over the crossbar.
84' Kane is nearly found by a clipped cross over Shchennikov, but the left-back stretches to flick a defensive header away from goal. England have the back of the net, with Kane, Sterling and Wilshere combining to brilliant effect. Kane, however, was caught a considerable way offside.
82' We're into the final 10 minutes in Marseille, with Kane able to win a free-kick due to a cynical push from Ignashevich. England are happy to retain possession and keep the ball moving around their back four, with Dzyuba being asked to do plenty of running up top.

R. Neustädter
Russia

80' Lallana takes aim from long-range, but the former Southampton midfielder is only able to send a swerving effort wide of the target. Russia break down the right, with Smolnikov trying to curl in a cross, but Dier heads away. All that remains for Hodgson's men to do is to see this one out.
J. Wilshere
W. Rooney

R. Shirokov
A. Golovin
Russia
77' Golovin takes his leave, with Shirokov thrown on as Russia look for an equaliser.
77' Hart is happy to take a while over his goal-kicks, before the Man City goalkeeper launches a counter. Sterling races in behind enemy lines, but a shot from the Englishman is deflected behind for a corner. The Three Lions faithful are making a lot of noise now.
75' Russia threaten down the right-hand side, but Dier covers across yet again to avert the danger. The Spurs midfielder has covered for his full-backs brilliantly this evening. Hodgson's men only have a quarter of an hour to see out in their opening Group B game.
E. Dier
Goal
England
73' GOOOOOOOOOAL! DIER MAKES IT 1-0! Kane runs over the free-kick, with Dier stepping up in his place. The defensive midfielder places a curling finish into the top-left corner and England have a late lead!
73' We're into the final 20 minutes in Marseille, with England undoubtedly wondering what they have to do in order to take the lead in this clash. Russia are sat back once again, with Rooney starting to try and pull the strings. Alli goes down on the edge of the box, with Shchennikov giving away a free-kick.
G. Shchennikov
Yellow Card
Russia
72' Shchennikov gets a booking for coming through the back of Alli.
71' Russia win themselves a free-kick on the right flank, which is taken short. A low ball is fizzed into the penalty area, but Hart is quick off his line to claim. England counter, with an amazing double chance that somehow wasn't taken! Rooney is denied by a great save from Akinfeev, before Sterling drags the rebound horrifically wide.
69' Only 20 minutes remain, with Vardy looking as though he is ready to come on for the Three Lions. Sterling leads the charge for England on the break, but Neustadter slides in brilliantly to deny the ex-Liverpool winger. Hodgson's men are looking a little bit low on ideas.
68' Ignashevich heads yet another teasing cross away from danger, with the Russian centre-backs doing brilliantly at present. Moments later, Alli is nearly found while running beyond the last man, but the ball skids off the surface and straight through to Akinfeev.
66' Rooney and Kane combine, before the Spurs striker is outmuscled as he tries to stab a low pass into Sterling. Moments later, the Manchester City winger curls in a cross, but Ignashevich heads clear at the near post. Walker cuts a cross back from the right byline, but yet again Russia are able to clear their lines.
64' Smolov tries his luck, but Hart dives full-stretch to his left in order to touch the effort around the post. Only half an hour remains in this contest, with Slutskiy's men growing in confidence since the interval. England are beginning to look as though the occasion is getting to them a little.
63' A cross from Sterling is half-cleared by V. Berezutskiy, before England pick up the scraps and rebuild. A delivery from Walker is then lashed away, but Dzyuba is fouled when trying to hold up the ball. The physical Zenit man is making a real nuisance of himself.
G. Cahill
Yellow Card
England
62' Cahill hauls down Dzyuba, with the Chelsea centre-back given a deserved yellow card.
62' Kokorin finds space down the right flank once again, but Dier covers across to concede a much-needed corner. iganshevich meets this set-piece, but directs his attempt horrendously over the target. England are struggling to get a foothold in the midfield battle at present.
60' Kokorin tries his luck from a tight angle, but the Russia forward's shot deflects wildly off Rose. The resulting corner is flicked goalwards by Dier, bizarrely, with Hart not taking any risks - he chooses to palm the ball over the bar. The next set-oiece is half-cleared, before Golovin lashes over from 20 yards out.
58' Sterling breaks at pace down the left-hand side, before checking inside well. He loses out, however, with Russia sparking an immediate break. Dzyuba escapes down the left flank, but Walker does well to battle with the target man and hoof the danger out for a throw-in.
56' Rooney takes aim from the aforementioned free-kick, but can only ripple the roof of the net with a dipping effort. England continue to look dangerous, after a nervy first few minutes at the start of the second half. Russia are dropping deep and not taking any risks. Hodgson's substitutes are still lying in wait.
54' Sterling is denied from close-range by Akinfeev, but the linesman's flag was raised for offside anyway. England continue to build pressure, with Kane brought down on the edge of the box by Ignashevich. This is in a great position for a shooting opportunity.
52' England wrestle back possession and retain the ball at a slow pace, with Walker picked out on the right-hand side. The Spurs right-back is denied by a sliding tackle from Shchennikov, however. Sterling is released down the left by a looping header from Smalling, but the English winger is denied well by Smolnikov.
50' Dier makes a poor challenge, before Rooney is cynically felled while trying to turn. This second half hasn't started in positive fashion, with England struggling to continue in the same vein as they finished the first period.
48' Russia start the second half brightly, with a couple of direct balls into Dzyuba clears easily. Moments later, Kokorin drives to the byline and cuts back a neat cross, but Smalling dives in to intercept ahead of the Russia target man. Nervy start from the Three Lions.
46' We are back underway in the second half in Marseille! England have had the better of the opportunities, but Slutskiy's men are hanging in there, with Dzyuba offering enough of a presence to hold the ball up and build sporadic attacks from.
HALF-TIME! The two sides go into the interval without a goal between them, with England having the better of the opportunities. Hart has only been tested once, but Akinfeev has been kept very busy indeed between the Russian posts. Hodgson's men just can't quite seem to find a breakthrough goal.
45' Rooney switches play out to Walker on the right-hand side, with the Spurs wing-back driving infield and then sliding a pass into Lallana. The Liverpool midfielder, however, is caught narrowly offside.
43' Rose curls another devilish ball in from the left-hand side, but Akinfeev punches clear! The left-back is having a great time of it in this first-half, providing a lot of ammunition for Kane, but England are having no luck in front of goal.
42' Smolnikov tries to curl a cross in from the right-hand side, but it fails to beat the first man. England try to break upfield at pace, but the tempo is slowing somewhat. Rose fizzes a low cross in from the left, but Kane just can't get anywhere near it. Right area of the area to look for, but there was simply too much power on it.
40' Alli drives down the right-hand side, but is robbed of possession by a cluster of recovering defenders. Moments later, the former MK Dons midfielder is involved again, but a low pass into the penalty area is gobbled up by Akinfeev. Kane just can't seem to get service in the right areas.
38' Kane tries to break in behind the Russian rear-guard, but Ignashevich covers across to concede yet another corner. It is taken short, with the Spurs striker playing a one-two, but his drilled cross-cum-shot into the area is gathered up neatly by Akinfeev.
36' Rooney shoots straight at Akinfeev once again! The England captain gets plenty behind his effort, but the Russian goalkeeper punches clear in unorthodox fashion. Pressure is building from the Three Lions once again, with just under 10 minutes left in the first half.
34' Rooney slides a neat pass into the penalty area, but Alli is watched closely by V. Berezutskiy! The twin defender hacks behind for a corner. Kane delivers yet another corner, but once again his ball in is far too high for anyone to challenge for. His set-pieces have been utterly dismal thus far.
32' Russia manage to break, with Slutskiy's men having a three-on-three situation. Rooney tracks back to lash a Shatov cross out of harm's way. England will need to be careful with how many players they are getting caught the wrong side of possession when possession turns over.
30' Smolov scampers down the left-hand side, but is eventually held up by Walker. Cahill comes across to help his full-back, and tackles well to take control of the situation. Russia threaten down the right flank, but a flick-on from Dzyuba is then cushioned back to Hart by the same Chelsea defender. There's a real ebb and flow to this contest.
28' Shatov tries to clip a cross in towards Dzyuba, but it is terribly angled and runs straight through to Hart. Rose breaks down the left and combines with Rose, with Alli then able to flick a pass into Kane. The Spurs striker finds the bottom corner, but is denied by the offside flag.
26' Russia have been low on ideas going forward, with tepid possession resulting in long, direct passes into Dzyuba or Smolov. The problem for Slutskiy's men, is that they aren't winning the second ball often enough, as the duo end up being fairly isolated.
24' Great challenge from Smolnikov! Sterling goes racing in behind enemy lines, but the Russia right-back covers across brilliantly to slide in and deny the Man City wide man from shooting. Brilliant recovery from the make-shift left-back. Russia are really riding their luck at present.
22' Wide from Lallana! The ex-Saints midfielder drives into the penalty area, but drags a right-footed shot horrendously beyond the left-hand post. Hodgson can't believe that hasn't been the opening goal, with the Three Lions wasting some great opportunities to break the deadlock.
21' Sterling is fed to the left byline, but the Manchester City winger is unable to clip a dangerous cross from out wide. Ignashevich steps in to clear. England are really getting some joy down their left flank at the moment, with Lallana offering the perfect counter-balance.
19' Russia settle down and enjoy a slow spell of possession, but an eventual hoofed ball towards Dzyuba goes amiss. The Zenit forward has proven himself to be a handful thus far, but the chances aren't flowing for Kokorin and company. Smolov tries to burst in behind enemy lines, but Cahill slides in to make a good challenge.
17' Ignashevich meets a free-kick delivery from the right-hand side, but the CSKA Moscow defender directs his header straight at Hart. That's the first save that the ex-Shrewsbury has had to make. England head up the other end, with a brilliant cross whipped in from the left by Rose, but Alli can't make contact at the back post to make it 1-0!
16' Kokorin is penalised for handball, but England opt to take the resulting free-kick short. Russia are having to sit back and absorb some pressure, but their inexperienced midfield shield is holding relatively firm for now. Dzyuba offers himself as an outlet for Slutskiy's men, but the Zenit target man is bundled to ground and earns a free-kick.
14' Rooney clips a long switch over to Kane on the left-hand side, with the Spurs striker opting to jink onto his right foot. His effort, however, hurtles horrendously high and wide of the target. All of the half chances are going in favour of Hodgson's men at the moment.
13' Close for Smalling! The Manchester United centre-back is picked out brilliantly by the aforementioned corner, but can only place his header straight at Akinfeev! The CSKA Moscow goalkeeper has been fortunate that two great opportunities for England have resulted in shots heading straight down his throat.
11' England continue to cause the majority of the problems, with both Walker and Rose getting the chance to get high upfield in support. Dier swings a cross in from the right-hand side, but Shchennikov stands firm at the near post to head behind for a corner.
9' Chance missed for Kane! Alli manages to flick a cross towards the back post, with the former Norwich striker doing his best to stretch every sinew to meet it. Unfortunately for the Three Lions, his attempts come to nothing, with the loose ball running behind for a goal-kick. Moments later, Neustadter commits a cynical foul on Lallana.
8' Smolov is warned for using a high foot against Walker, though the England right-back definitely made a meal of the winger's challenge. Though England are threatening more regularly, Russia have been able to break upfield with confidence due to good hold-up play from Dzyuba.
7' Russia break down the right-hand side, with Smolnikov overlapping at pace. Rose manages to streak back to slide in and deny the marauding full-back, however. Moments later, Lallana is picked out in space in the box, but lashes a powerful effort straight down Akinfeev's throat!
6' Lallana tries to clip a cross in from the right-hand side, but Ignashevich and V. Berezutskiy combine to make a rushed clearance. This contest is yet to settle down, with possession swinging from side to side with regularity.
4' Just over from Alli! The Spurs midfielder picks up the scraps, after a knock-down from Kane, but can only fire a sliced effort well wide of the right-hand post. That's the first half-chance of the game, with both sets of fans making plenty of noise. Smolov then clips in a cross from the right, but Walker clears.
2' Sterling tries to slide a neat throughball into the path of Kane, but it is far too heavy. Akinfeev is alert to the danger and comes off his line to gobble it up. Russia respond with a couple of early long balls, but Hart and Cahill take control.
1' We are underway in the first half in Marseille! The atmosphere is good, not least due to passions running high in the city over the last few days. England will be hoping for a positive start against an injury-plagued opposition, but Dzyuba is a threat for Slutskiy and company.
