David Cawley grabbed a deserved point for Ian Baraclough's side after Paul O'Conor put the Drogs ahead in an even game at Hunky Dorys Park

Sligo Rovers came from behind to draw with Drogheda United, but despite a number of second-half chances, could not find a winner. Paul O'Conor gave Drogs the lead on 29 minutes before David Cawley struck in the second-half to level the game.

The game started slowly at Hunky Dorys Park, with neither goalkeeper tested early on. Michael Schlingermann was called into action for the first time in the 13th minute, but was comfortable collecting Joseph Ndo's free-kick. Sligo had more possession for most of the half, but couldn't turn it into chances, and were penalised when Drogheda broke quickly.

Shane Grimes made a great run down the right-hand-side before crossing for Paul O'Conor who stroked the ball past Gary Rogers to put Drogheda ahead. Alan Byrne almost doubled the lead five minutes later, but was denied by a double save from Rogers. Sligo looked to have levelled before the break, as Raffaele Cretaro had a goalbound effort cleared at the last moment by Alan McNally.

Sligo started the second-half well, and tied up the game on 50 minutes after good work from Danny North allowed David Cawley in to score. David Cawley should have done better moments later, but could only head straight at Schlingermann after a good cross from Seamus Conneely.

Both sides looked for the game winning goal, with Declan 'Fabio' O'Brien forcing Rogers into a good save, while Aaron Greene went close for Sligo with an effort from outside the area. However, neither side could make the breakthrough, leaving Ian Baraclough's side five points off the summit.
