Goals from McEleney, Rafter, McBride and McNamee ensured Declan Devine's side recorded a fourth successive Airtricity League victory to keep the pressure on leaders Sligo
There was a scrappy start to the game; Bohemians enjoyed the majority of the possession with Derry content to hit the hosts on the break. The game burst to life in the 14th minute, when Patrick McEleney cut in from the left wing before smashing the ball past Dean Delany in the home goal.
Just 10 minutes later Derry had their second, with Michael Rafter slotting home his sixth league goal of the season after good work on the wing from Simon Madden. The Gypsies continued to have the lion's share of possession but lacked Derry's cutting edge and created little of note.
The second half began with Ruaidhri Higgins almost making it three from a free kick, while Bohs were unlucky not to be awarded a penalty when Barry Molloy appeared to handle the the ball in the area. Defender Ryan McBride made it three on 75 minutes, nodding home after Barry McNamee's effort was cleared off the line by Ryan McEvoy.
Derry sealed the tie a few minutes later, when Barry McNamee latched on to a through ball from the impressive Rafter and slotted past the helpless Delany.
The win is Derry's fourth in a row, keeping the pressure on league leaders Sligo Rovers.
