Goals in either half saw Dundalk overcome a poor Bohemians side at Dalymount Park, with Tiarnan Mulvenna and Richie Towell on the scoresheet

Dundalk moved up to fourth place in the Airtricity Premier Division table with a 2-0 win over a lacklustre Bohemians side. Tiarnan Mulvenna gave the visitors a first-half lead before Richie Towell's strike killed off the game.

Bohs started brightly with Ryan McEvoy's free-kick testing Peter Cherrie early on, but found themselves behind after just 20 minutes. Richie Towell's free-kick was spilled by Dean Delany, allowing Tiarnan Mulvenna to poke the ball in and give Dundalk the lead. Delany pulled off a double save to keep out Mulvenna and John Dillon minutes later as the visitors looked for a second.

Dundalk always looked like extending their lead, and despite getting good chances in the area, scored their second from a long-range effort. Richie Towell's speculative shot took a deflection on the way to the goal to leave Delany no chance.

Dundalk ran out comfortable 2-0 winners, seeing Bohemians slump to their second successive defeat. with the Louth side moving up to fourth.
