Two goals in the last 20 minutes saw Dundalk record a hard-fought win against Limerick at Oriel Park. Axel Bossekota and Shaun Kelly put the visitors ahead but Stephen Kenny's side completed an amazing turnaround with Dane Massey and John Sullivan on target.

Dundalk started the game on top, and went close a couple of times in the opening stages. Kurtis Byrne had an ambitious early effort stopped by Barry Ryan after just three minutes, almost catching the Limerick goalkeeper off his line. Then Ryan was on hand to keep out Vinny Faherty's header, while Byrne hit the post after a good pass from Keith Ward.

Limerick began to get into the game a bit more as the first half went on with Craig Curran and Axel Bossekota doing well for the visitors. It was the Super Blues who led at the break, with Bossekota beating Peter Cherrie after an accurate through ball from Stephen Bradley.

The hosts pushed forward for an equaliser in the second half, and almost succeeded after just five minutes when Byrne drew a great save from Barry Ryan before the keeper denied Richie Towell. Dundalk also had claims for a penalty turned down when Faherty went down under pressure from Aaron Browne in the area.

Limerick doubled their lead on 68 minutes, with Shaun Kelly putting the ball into the net after Danny Galbraith had hit the post. The visitors looked to be heading for victory, but Dundalk had other ideas. Dane Massey pegged one back three minutes later, heading in from a corner, before another set-piece allowed John Sullivan to prod the ball home.

Dundalk stay in third place with the point, while Limerick's failure to hold onto a lead sees them rack up their fourth draw of the season.
