Goal evaluates the performances of everyone involved in Turin, as the Bianconeri clinched the Serie A title with a second-half penalty from midfielder Arturo Vidal

    Gianluigi Buffon

Had little to do during the first half other than punch a few corners away to safety. Fortunate to see Miccoli's shot come back off the upright but, in fairness, he deserved his clean sheet.

  • Giorgio Chiellini

    Giorgio Chiellini

Dominant in the air, as per usual, and rarely troubled by Palermo's forwards.

  • Andrea Barzagli

    Andrea Barzagli

Booked for cynically taking out Nelson after being utterly bamboozled by the Portuguese wing-back's quick feet but was solid as a rock for the most part.

  • Leonardo Bonucci

    3.00

    Leonardo Bonucci

Somewhat fortunate to avoid giving away a free kick on the edge of his own area for a sneaky tug on Miccoli's shirt but was otherwise unruffled.

  • Stephan Lichtsteiner

    2.50

    Stephan Lichtsteiner

Signalled his attacking intentions by getting in behind Palermo inside the opening 60 seconds. Put Vucinic through with a measured through-ball just before the half hour. Faded thereafter, though, and was replaced early in the second half.

  • Paul Pogba

    2.50

    Paul Pogba

Showed great technique and composure on the ball, and made some wonderfully-time challenges. However, just moments after creating two chances for Juve to kill the game off, he blotted his copybook by spitting at Santiago Garcia. Discipline, clearly, remains a major problem for the Frenchman.

  • Claudio Marchisio
    0
    0
    2.50

    Claudio Marchisio

Buzzed about the Juve attack but never looked like scoring. Somewhat ironically, his attacking threat has been curbed by Conte's decision to push him further forward. He is not a trequartista - not matter how much Juve want him to be.

  • Andrea Pirlo

    3.00

    Andrea Pirlo

Pulled off a diagonal ball and a backheel during the opening five minutes alone. Once again everything went through the midfield playmaker, even if he wasn't quite as brilliant as usual.

  • Kwadwo Asamoah

    4.00

    Kwadwo Asamoah

Set the tone for a barnstorming display by charging past both Nelson and Rios inside the first four minutes. Showed great tenacity and commitment before being replaced by Peluso as Juve looked to shut up shop.

  • Arturo Vidal

    3.50

    Arturo Vidal

Strangely subdued during the first half but once again stepped up to the mark when the Bianconeri needed him, and there was never any doubt over whether he would convert the penalty which came his way. Inspirational.

  • Mirko Vučinić

    Mirko Vučinić

Made some decent runs down the channel and held the ball up well. Showed good strength to hold off Donati only to then shoot straight at Sorrentino. Was denied again by the Palermo shot-stopper in the second half but, overall, can be proud of his efforts up front on his own.

Came on for Asamoah midway through the second half and defended stoutly.

    Simone Padoin

Came on for Liechtsteiner 10 minutes after the break and did well, without offering anything like the same attacking threat.

  • Fabio Quagliarella

    3.00

    Fabio Quagliarella

A late arrival, Quagliarella very nearly doubled Juve's lead but his thunderbolt from the edge of the area crashed against the bar.

  • Stefano Sorrentino

    3.50

    Stefano Sorrentino

Dealt well with every cross that came his way during a first-quarter onslaught before then using his feet to good effect to deny Vucinic. Saved well from the Montenegrin again in the second half, but only after effectively jumping out of the way of Vidal's penalty.

  • Salvatore Aronica

    Salvatore Aronica

A rugged yet disciplined display from the former Napoli man, who continually popped up to make crucial interventions.

  • Nélson

    Nélson

The Portuguese made a fine clearance under pressure inside the opening 60 seconds but was given a rough ride by Asamoah. He did manage to get forward on occasion, demonstrating decent technique whenever he did so, but his final ball was consistently poor.

  • Steve von Bergen

    Steve von Bergen

The Swiss defended intelligently and effectively for the duration of the game and was unlucky to end on the losing side.

  • Santiago García

    0
    3.00

    Santiago García

Allowed Lichsteiner to get in behind him with less than 60 seconds on the clock but allowed the Swiss very little time on the ball thereafter, snapping at his heels at every opportunity. Also made one crunching tackle on Vidal and provoked Pogba into getting himself sent off.

  • Edgar Barreto

    3.00

    Edgar Barreto

Worked tirelessly in the Palermo midfield and used the ball well.

  • E. Arévalo

    3.50

    E. Arévalo

The Uruguayan was a very lively presence in the middle of the park, stealing possession back for Palermo time and time again. Played an integral role in ensuring that Juve did not enjoy their usual level of dominance in midfield.

  • Massimo Donati
    0
    0
    2.50

    Massimo Donati

Nicked the ball away from Vucinic on a couple of occasions but then cost his side the game with a stupid shove on the Montenegrin.

  • Josip Iličič
    0
    0
    2.50

    Josip Iličič

Looked capable of making something happen every time he got on the ball, releasing Nelson into space with a fine reverse pass at one point, but the Slovenian faded badly in the second half.

  • Jasmin Kurtić
    0
    0
    2.00

    Jasmin Kurtić

Kurtic helped out well in defence, making a timely intervention when Pirlo looked to have left Lichtsteiner with a far-post tap-in. However, did not do anywhere near enough from an offensive perspective.

  • Fabrizio Miccoli
    0
    0
    2.00

    Fabrizio Miccoli

Should have been awarded a free on the edge of the box after being pulled down by Bonucci in the first half before seeing a deflected strike come back off the post in the second. Was running on empty by that stage, though, and was subbed soon after.

Replaced Ilicic midway through the second half but was unable to really get into the game.

Took over up top from Miccoli just over 20 minutes into second half but was unable to make an impact.
