M. De Sanctis
Will be disappointed with his part in the Alvarez penalty, as the veteran keeper got a hand to the Argentine's goalscoring effort. Relatively untroubled in the second half, but stayed alert to beat away one Alvarez shot.
Was clumsy to give away a penalty in the first half, but redeemed himself by picking up a penalty for his own side minutes later. Worked hard down the left hand side, and Jonathan struggled to deal with his sheer pace.
A constant threat coming in at the back post and worked Pereira tirelessly throughout the entire game. Was unfortunate not to get on the scoresheet, after finding himself in great positions in the Inter area.
Marshalled the defence well, but wasn't called into action too often in the form of blocks or important challenges. A solid performance nevertheless.
Was solid throughout, but his absence from the first team showed in the second half, as he struggled seemingly with cramp. Replaced due to fatigue.
Calm and composed in defence, at times perhaps too much so. Kept Alvarez relatively quiet and therefore can be pleased with his performance.
Missed a few reasonable chances in the first half, twice after Inter's defence seemed to part for him. Drove well whilst on the ball, and caused Inter all sorts of problems, but was wasteful with his shooting.
Tenacious and combative in the centre of midfield and not afraid to put in a challenge to stop Inter in their tracks. Made a few rash challenges, but generally broke up play very well.
Tested Handanovic on multiple occasions with hammer-like efforts and kept the midfield ticking. Was surprisingly replaced when the game was effectively won, but it was an efficient performance from the Swiss midfielder.
Practically unplayable, as his pace and power proved too much for Inter to deal with. Took his three goals very well, and was unfortunate not to make it four with a squandered opportunity. Contributed well aerially in his own area too.
Threaded through some wonderful balls for Cavani in the first half, the first of which being rewarded with an assist. Worked well with Cavani, picking out his team-mate time and time again, while also testing Handanovic with a couple of well struck efforts.
Kept Napoli at bay in the first half - without the Slovenian it would have been possible for the home side to pull away before half-time. Although questionably at fault for one goal, he kept the scoreline respectable.
Had a poor game, offering little in the way of delivery from the right, and gave away a penalty for his side after tangling with Zuniga in the penalty area.
Struggled in possession at times, gifting away possession cheaply, but his pace relieved some of the pressure on the Inter back line.
Tested De Sanctis with a great strike in the first half, but struggled in the second half. Maggio enjoyed his time on the right flank, and rose unchallenged at the back post too many times.
Made a couple of important blocks, but otherwise struggled to deal with the pace and power of Cavani, and gave Pandev too much time to orchestrate two of Napoli's goals.
Looked uncomfortable throughout the game, and struggled to deal with Cavani. Picked up a yellow for a disgraceful challenge on Armero, and offered little offensively when he pressed forward.
His energy and endeavour was refreshing for the away side, but he struggled to have a notable impact on the game, as the experience of his midfield opponents proved to be a tough obstacle to surpass.
Did well to get the wrong side of his man for his penalty win, before being slightly fortunate to see his goal-bound effort slip under De Sanctis. Was Inter's only real source of creativity, but disappeared occasionally in the second half.
Had plenty of attempts at goal in the first half, but failed to test De Sanctis too often. Disappeared entirely in the second half, but his first half performance was impressive, popping up in good areas and having plenty of shots on goal.
Worked hard in the first half, but ultimately didn't offer as much as Stramaccioni may have hoped from him. Was replaced by Cambiasso at the half-time break.
Worked hard in the centre of midfield, attempting to get forward and support his side's attacks whenever possible, but similarly to Kovacic, he had little impact.
Linked up well down the left with Zuniga, and provided a couple of quality crosses from the byeline. Was unfortunate not to get an assist after Cavani squandered a great chance from the Colombian's near post cross.
Caused problems with his pace as Inter tired. A reasonable showing in a short period of time for the youngster.
