  Put in a good shift defensively on the left flank, where he did not allow many Juventus attacks to get past him. Preferred to sit deep and lock down his side, rather than venture forward and risk surrendering his defensive position.

  Protected the defence effectively, as he was relentless in patrolling the space in front of his own penalty area. Often slowed down Juve when they attacked through the centre, and such was his success at forcing congestion in the middle, that the visitors were often forced to lesser options out wide.
