Had an absolutely laughable part to play in the opening goal as he saw his attempted clearance charged down by Bale and into the net. Looked shaky from crosses and his distribution was poor.
Thundered in the equalising header and was equally comfortable out wide and in the centre of defence. Always gives his all for the cause and that's exactly what Wigan need in their fight for survival.
The inquest into the Spurs goals will go on long into tonight, and Figueroa is one of the two chief culprits. After that, however, he stuck to his task well - especially considering he was up against Bale and Walker.
Asked to sit in front of the back four - or at times two - McCarthy was tasked with nullifying the threat of Bale. He wasn't at his best in possession, but the midfielder's presence was enough to ensure Wigan weren't overrun on the break.
Safe in the knowledge that McCarthy was behind him, McArthur was able to challenge quickly in the first phase of midfield play, which gave Wigan an edge.
Can at times be erratic but kept his composure - crucial with the amount of runners off the ball Spurs possess. Takes on the mantle of the talker among the group when Caldwell isn't about.
Didn't drift centrally as much as usual - probably to combat Walker's attacking threat - but was exceptional. Kept the ball brilliantly, cleverly linked play and did his defensive duty. There's a reason they are desperate to keep him.
Up against Walker and Bale, it could have been easy for Beausejour to become overawed, but he stuck to his guns, got forward well and offered support inside.
Calm on the ball and aware of what was around him in a congested midfield, Gomez isn't always a favourite here but surprisingly put himself about as well as showing quality on the ball.
Probably hasn't connected with anything as sweetly since Haidara's kneecap last month. Joking aside, what a stunning strike and this boy could prove to be a Premier League hit for years to come.
Asked to lead the line on his own and did so admirably, yet again. Doesn't carry the biggest goalscoring threat but occupies two defenders at all times and caused problems for Dawson.
Nothing he could have done with either goal in all honesty. Apart from that, the goalkeeper had very little to do, but may have dealt better with a couple of crosses.
Played well and got the basics right - the minimum you expect from Dawson. However, the basics - putting the ball out for throw-ins perhaps needlessly - gave Wigan territorial advantages too often.
A good battle with McManaman in a dual between two of the Premier League's brightest prospects. Naughton was caught slightly on his heels before Wigan's second goal but to criticise too much would be harsh.
Allowed Maloney to hold onto the ball for too long far too many times and sauntered forward without his usual purpose without doing anything wrong. Looked to play within himself.
Horribly caught out for Boyce's equalising goal - getting caught underneath the cross. With Wigan operating with just the one striker, Vertonghen ought to have stepped into midfield more often.
Virtually non-existant. Usually that means Parker has had a good game, but this needed him to get in amongst the hosts' packed midfield. Being overshadowed by Gomez probably paints a picture all by itself.
Absolutely imperious in the middle of midfield, Huddlestone made Spurs tick throughout. Did the simple things well and had tremendous vision to set the visitors away on occasions, especially before the break.
Played on the shoulder of Scharner and got a little bit of joy. But after Wigan's second goal - and as they sat deeper - Defoe found it trickier to find space in and around the box. Perhaps should have done better just before half-time.
Moved further forward in the second half after starting from deep, Dempsey was a thorn in the home side after the break. Picks up positions others wouldn't think of and saw a couple of well-hit efforts blocked.
Excellent work to follow up on really lax defending for his goal. After that the winger was marshalled well by McCarthy and Beausejour and had one of his quieter afternoons.
