Five qualities of Andre Ayew that Ghana will miss

Next 2. GOAL SCORING EXPLOITS

1. COMMITMENT

No one can question the commitment of Andre Ayew. His beginning with the national team has not been rosy. He had to weather the storm to survive severe public backlash after an unimpressive outing in 2007 in a friendly against Senegal and later in 2008 when he made his tournament debut for the Black Stars at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations on home soil.

The Olympique Marseille star man proceeded to captain Ghana's Under-20 national team, the Black Satellites to double victories in the Africa and World U20 Championships showing immense leadership qualities along the way and literally dragging his team-mates over the finishing line. Subsequently, at the 2010, 2012 Afcon tournaments, the son of Ghana football legend, Abedi Pele distinguished himself from other players by showing the willingness to die for the cause. At the Fifa World Cup in South Africa, the bubbly midfielder was ready to give off 100 percent anytime he donned the colours of the national team.
