WATCH: Manchester United's Marcos Rojo finally ends 54-game scoring drought

Marcos Rojo scored his first Premier League goal for Manchester United against Bournemouth, having had a wait of 54 games before netting for the Old Trafford side.

After controlling the match from the opening kick off, the Red Devils finally took the lead as Rojo redirected team-mate Antonio Valencia's strike from the edge of the box past goalkeeper Artur Boruc into the bottom corner.

Rojo, an Argentine international, arrived at the Red Devils from Sporting CP for a fee of £17 million in the summer of 2014, having scored seven times in 61 outings for the Portuguese giants. However, it has taken him two-and-a-half years for him to find the net in the league.

This astonishing wait is the seventh longest for United in the Premier League era, with the six players who have poorer records all also being defenders.
