The Hunters striker has revealed ongoing talks with the Ivorian club ahead of the upcoming campaign

Bechem United striker Amed 'Simba' Toure has confirmed reports that negotiations are underway between his agent and Ivorian giants Asec Mimosas

The 28-year-old scored 12 goals last season in the Ghana Premier League, including a crucial goal against Great Olympics on final day to save the Brong Ahafo-based club from the drop.

Asec are in dire need of an experienced striker for their Caf Championship League participation next season.

"I've heard several reports concerning my future and it's true that Asec Mimosa have officially contacted me. They want me to join them after my impressive performance in the Ghana Premier League," Toure told Fox FM.

"I'm in talks with my agent and other people who matter in my career and although, they want to sign between now and next week Tuesday, I want to consider a lot of things.

"They want the confirmation so that they can include my name in their squad which will be submitted to Caf for next season's Champions League on Wednesday. I want to use the international break to have a second thought before I take a final decision on my future," he added.

Aside Asec, FA Cup winners Asante Kotoko are reported to have expressed interest in their former striker and Toure says his heart is with the club.

"Although, Asec are pressuring me, my heart is with Kotoko and ready to join them once again," he said.

"A lot of things have happened between me and the club but I believe everything can be settled. If they want me, I will gladly join them because even Sadick Adams who is their top striker currently has admitted that he would like to partner me upfront for the club. If they're ready, I'm also ready for them," he added.

Toure was adjudged Ghana Premier League best player in 2011-12 season after joining the club mid-season.
