Mensah Turkish side joins Kayserispor on loan

Atletico Madrid forward Bernard Mensah has joined Turkish Super Lig side Kayserispor on a season-long loan from Atletico Madrid, the two clubs have confirmed.

The 23-year-old has struggled for first team opportunities since joining Los Colchoneros in 2015.

According to reports, head coach Ertugrul Saglam promised Mensah enough playing time which enticed him to head to Turkey, amid other interest.

He will now partner Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan upfront, after the latter secured his place in the club's squad following a decision to accept a pay cut after an unimpressive debut season.

Last season, Mensah scored five goals in all competitions in 32 games for Kasimpasa while on loan.

He previously played for Getafe and Vitoria Guimaraes on loan.
